We never know what the future holds with technology evolving at the speed of light and green energy slowly taking over the globe. How will we live in the next 10-100 years. Perhaps non-degradable marshmallow homes? Every Discovery class constructed homes made from popsicle sticks, marshmallows and some even created an entire model home complete with grass. This project got our students some literal hands on experience with 'raw materials' combined with creativity to design a home. Now let's see what they can come up with for inside a home...

What inclined planes are in your homes? How do we roll a dumptruck from the bottom of a valley to the top of a mountain? These types of questions were asked to get the thinking caps on the Pre-Primary and Pre-K Discovery class on how to create and operate with inclined planes. By using legos and blocks they constructed inclined planes much like a mini-construction crew to get trucks, cars and moving in different directions. This project will lead into more as the children continue to learn the fundamentals of constructing the world around them. Let's see what new heights they take us to.
